I manually expanded the links and text areas to make them bigger in the PHP code, much more useful for me =)

Unfortunately, when I go to "Write" an idea all it does it copy the title - is it not supposed to copy the description? This is WP 2.6. I would like the description copied to the post as I like to put a bullet list in there, and that allows me to have the blog post somewhat organized before I start =)

Also, I second the idea of having it appear on the dashboard and write tabs if that is possible.

Keep up the good work! I intend to write a post about post ideas sometime, and may ping you for a short interview (just a couple questions to make my review more human) if you wouldn't mind

This is an awesome plugin. One thing that would make it so much better is if the description, keywords, and links were pulled into the body of the post when you click "Write This", like outline info. Otherwise, I forget the things I wrote in the idea while I'm writing the post.

I just want to say thanks in advance. I currently do exactly what you describe with ideas for posts - Google Docs and WordPress drafts. But that's not really ideal, is it? I'm going to try the plugin now...

Interesting Idea. I've been using a program called "Tasks" for this, but having it integrated into WordPress is a nice idea.

I do have a few comments:

1) I should be in a more obvious place -- out of sight, out of mind. Maybe even link it from the Dashboard or show the top items on the list in Dashboard? Also, you might move it to the "Write" tab from "Manage"

2) The Description field should be bigger. make it a textarea instead of a short field.

3) If I click on "write", the tags don't make it into the tags field on the post edit screen.

Beyond a few quibbles, this is a very good idea. i'll definitely be keeping an eye on its development. :)

(Psst... <a href="http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/subscribe-to-comments/" rel="nofollow">Subscribe to Comments plugin</a>

@Stephen
Thanks for the comments. I sent ya an email and disabled the hotlink protection.

@Matt
Sorry about the install. I tested it on locally and live on 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 I didn't have any trouble. I'll keep an eye on it and check the install routine again. Thanks for the heads up.

I have been looking for something like this for a long time (not enough time to write one myself). One issue that I noticed, was that the wp_btpi table and sample post were not created for me when I activated the plugin. I had to manually go in to MySQL and add the table / sample post. I am on WP 2.3.2. No errors were reported when I activated the plugin, and until I added the table, etc., the Manage -> Post Ideas form did not work. Whenever I submitted an idea, it did not save, or generate an error.

I can't download the file. It keeps taking me to the "Download trouble" page.

I understand your desire to stop people from hotlinking your downloads, but like DRM, those kinds of hacks sometimes cause more trouble than they're worth....
